CUDECA CHARITY SHOPS
Our charity shops are the main source of funding for Fundación Cudeca.
Joan Hunt began by taking a collection at her husband's funeral with which she managed to raise funds to improve the decoration of the rooms in the palliative care unit of the Red Cross. But she was not satisfied with the result and her desire to improve the conditions of the sick grew. He met with his group of friends so that they entrusted him with clothes they were not wearing and they began to sell them in a garage in Fuengirola lent by one of the neighbors. Seeing that the result achieved was good, they rented premises in the Puebla Lucía urbanization in Fuengirola, where Joan lived, and it was the Foundation's first charity shop in 1992.
