ABOUT US
JOAN by Cudeca is the online store for vintage and second-hand clothing from the Málaga-based NGO Fundación Cudeca . Every purchase you make here is not only a choice of style, but also an act of solidarity that directly contributes to our mission: to offer expert and free palliative care to people with cancer and other advanced diseases, as well as emotional and care support to their families.
Cudeca stands for Cancer Care and our work focuses on providing palliative care both at home and at our Hospital Centre in Benalmádena . It all began thanks to the drive of Joan Hunt , an extraordinary woman who founded the organisation in 1992 after her personal experience. Today, more than 30 years later, Cudeca provides free care to more than 1,500 patients and their families every year.
The Cudeca Foundation's main source of funding is its charity shops , both physical and online, such as JOAN by Cudeca. Thanks to the solidarity of those who donate and shop in our shops, we can continue to fund our medical, psychological and emotional care programs, keeping the legacy of our founder alive.
When you purchase any item from our online store, you are helping us continue to develop our mission : to add life to days, when days cannot be added to life.
Thank you for being part of our history and for helping us take care of you. 💚

CUDECA FOUNDATION TESTIMONIALS
I have no words to express my gratitude for the humanitarian work of this team, who in just 12 hours with them made it possible for my father to leave in peace and tranquility, as well as for us to transfer this knowledge that we are completely unaware of in this last phase of life, and that helps us to understand situations.
I couldn't be more grateful for the incredible work of the whole team, especially the medical team who have been by our side at all times until the end. The most important thing is to be clear about the situation we are facing and to know that they are a support and not an emergency service. I was able to organize myself very well with them to know how to act at all times, they have provided us with the necessary material to make their last days a more pleasant stay, they have been there to support us, guide us and explain everything we needed to know at all times and they have been a ray of light in so much darkness.
Luis, Noemi and Victor, I'm sure my grandmother Maria Jesus thanks you from wherever she is.
My brother passed away today in Cudeca Benalmadena.
We have always felt fully cared for and understood. You have helped us a lot to get through these difficult times.
I feel deeply grateful to all the professionals who have treated us, especially Dr. Gloria Mateo, who has looked after us with great humanity and professionalism.
